Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how The Profit Lab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of applicants and members who visit theprofitlab.co or apply to our mentorship program.

What we collect

When you submit an application through our website, we collect:

• Contact information: first name, email address, and phone number
• Application answers: your e-commerce experience level, self-rated skill levels, and your reason for applying
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referral source, and pages viewed
• Marketing data: how you found us (ad campaign, source, etc.)

How we use your information

• Review and respond to your application personally
• Send you follow-up communications about your application status
• Improve our ad targeting and landing page through analytics
• Deliver the mentorship program to accepted members
• Send occasional updates about future waves of the program

Who we share with

We use the following third-party tools to operate the business. By submitting an application, you consent to your data being processed by these providers:

• Klaviyo — email marketing and application management
• Zoho Mail — email hosting for abbas@theprofitlab.co
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising analytics via the Meta Pixel
• Vercel — website hosting
• Stripe — payment processing (only if you become a paying member)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Meta Pixel & tracking

Our website uses the Meta Pixel to track conversions from our advertising campaigns. This helps us understand which ads work and improve our marketing. The Pixel collects anonymous data about your visit (page views, clicks, form submissions) and associates them with your Facebook or Instagram account if you are logged in.

You can opt out of Meta's ad personalization at facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete your data
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (every email has an unsubscribe link)
• Opt out of data sharing by contacting us directly

Data retention

We keep application data for 24 months. Paying members' data is retained for 7 years for tax and legal purposes. After these periods, data is permanently deleted.

Cookies

Our site uses essential cookies for functionality and analytics cookies (via Meta Pixel and Klaviyo) for marketing. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly.

Children's privacy

The Profit Lab is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted an application, email us and we will delete their data immediately.

Terms of Service

By submitting an application or becoming a paying member of The Profit Lab, you agree to the following terms.

What The Profit Lab is

The Profit Lab is a 45-day 1-on-1 mentorship program for aspiring and existing e-commerce operators. Membership includes:

• Direct access to Abbas (the founder) for questions and guidance
• A structured 45-day learning path covering branded dropshipping fundamentals
• Access to templates, frameworks, and tools used in Abbas's own Shopify brands
• Warm introductions to trusted suppliers and service providers after reaching milestones

No income guarantees

We make no guarantees of specific income, sales, or business outcomes. Any figures, screenshots, or case studies shared reflect the personal results of Abbas and select past students. They are not typical. Building a business takes work, time, and capital — including ad spend separate from your program fee.

Application process

• Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program
• Abbas personally reviews every application and selects members based on fit
• Rejected applicants may reapply to future waves at any time
• Accepted applicants will receive a direct message via Instagram to begin onboarding

Program fee & payment

The current price for Wave 1 is $1,297 USD, one-time. Payment is processed via Stripe after acceptance into the program.

Prices for future waves may increase. The price at the time of your payment is the price you pay.

Member responsibilities

As a member, you agree to:

• Show up, do the work, and engage with the program in good faith
• Keep all proprietary content (templates, frameworks, supplier contacts) confidential
• Not share, resell, or redistribute any Profit Lab materials
• Maintain a separate budget for ad spend and store setup costs (typically $300–$800)

Intellectual property

All content, frameworks, templates, and materials provided in The Profit Lab are the intellectual property of Athar Abbas. Members receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the materials for building their own business. Reselling, republishing, or sharing the materials publicly is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal without refund.

Removal from program

We reserve the right to remove any member for:

• Abusive or disrespectful behavior toward Abbas or other members
• Violating the intellectual property terms above
• Fraudulent payment (chargebacks, disputes, etc.)
• Engaging in illegal activity using Profit Lab materials or connections

Members removed for cause are not entitled to a refund.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Profit Lab and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the program, including but not limited to: loss of revenue, loss of profits, business interruption, or failed product launches.

Our maximum liability in any case is limited to the amount you paid for the program.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Collin County, Texas.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes materially affect existing members, we'll notify you by email. Continued participation after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Refund Policy

We stand behind The Profit Lab with three written guarantees.

1. 14-day refund guarantee

After your payment clears, we schedule a Discovery call to finalize your personalized 45-day plan. If at any point during the first 14 days you decide The Profit Lab isn't the right fit for you, email abbas@theprofitlab.co and we'll refund 100% of your payment within 5 business days. No questions asked.

2. 24-hour reply guarantee

Abbas personally replies to every member question within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. If a week goes by where this guarantee is broken, that week is refunded pro-rata against your total program fee.

3. Show-up-and-launch guarantee

If you complete all 45 days of the program, do the assigned work, and still haven't launched a working store, Abbas will keep working with you until you do — at no extra cost. This guarantee requires you to have:

• Attended all scheduled calls
• Completed the weekly action items
• Shown up in good faith and applied the teachings

What's NOT refundable

• Fees paid after the 14-day window has passed
• If you've been removed from the program for cause (see Terms)
• Third-party costs (ad spend, Shopify subscription, tools, supplier samples) — these are yours regardless

How to request a refund

Email abbas@theprofitlab.co with the subject line "Refund Request" and include your full name and the email used to pay. Refunds are processed within 5 business days to the original payment method.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us for a refund, we will provide all communication and evidence to the payment processor. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in legal action and permanent ban from future Profit Lab waves.
